After a lapse of several decades, I picked up my art work
where I left off in my teens. I now paint in oils. I am self taught.

I love creating landscapes and seascapes.
Plants and trees lend themselves to all shapes, sizes and colors.
 

My paintings are intended to be both pleasing to the eye and provoke the 
imagination. Every landscape I have ever seen becomes incorporated in my work. 

My oil paintings are inspired by what surrounds me. I live in a rural area on an island.
My daily life overlooks a pond with dozens of waterfowl species, hawks and eagles.
My island is a constant inspiration with firs, madrones, oaks and other trees.
It is a ‘rock island’ which accounts for much of the rugged rocks and mountains I depict.
And of course, I am surrounded by the ocean. Ever changing and ever inspiring.

I have lived and worked on San Juan Island since 1994.
