Hay at False Bay - A Realistic Study 10x8"
SOLD I passed this scene a number of times late summer. This painting is done from a photo that I took of the scene. The farm is located on the water. Lots of acres. Copious amounts of hay and hay bales are on this island farm. This is one of the first paintings that I used ‘underpainting’ to firm up light and dark areas. This is the first hay bale. My other painting is the same scene done in shades of purple.
I continue my paintings on all four sides/edges of the canvas. This gives the option of not framing the piece.
