Winter, The Quieter Season 11x14

While painting a fir tree out of doors, an acquaintance passed by and said to me “oh why don’t you make it a Christmas Card?” Well, I just had not thought of it. I asked what some friends might like to see and settled on what is around me. A young black-tailed deer and a wild rabbit.

Even when I have lived in climes where that was no snow, I always thought of Christmas with snow. We do sometimes have snow at the holidays season, ( San Juan Island).
