False Bay on the eastside of San Juan Island is near my home. I am frequently either driving past or sitting there. Low Low tide can be a minus 13 feet. That means one can walk a good distance out. That is if you like walking in muck. The shore birds love it. This low tide leaves large and small rocks exposed. Kelp is left lifeless on the shore. This shore, like all seashores, is forever changing.
