This painting depicts a humpback whale in Hawaii breaching. Humpbacks frequently can be seen doing this in the winter in Hawaii. But with a rainbow as a back drop? Yes, it does happen. Not frequently, but it happens. This happened. This was inspired by a photo that I saw while in Hawaii 2022.
